Lake Endocrinology and Diabetes, PLLC welcomes Dr. Dmitry Grebenev, M.D. and Melanie Scala, MSN, APRN to the practice.  Dr. Grebenev will begin seeing patients in a new office location at 13117 66th St, Largo, FL 33773 on 10/15/24.  It will be in the same building as our main office next to Dr. Lee Shettle in ophthalmology within Prestige Place Office Center.  This second office location phone number is (727) 516-8482 and fax number (727) 516-8483.  His office email address will be drgoffice@lakeendocrine.com.  Melanie Scala, APRN will begin seeing patients within the same office around 12/2/24.  Please welcome these new providers to the practice.  We look forward to improving our ability to serve you in a timely fashion with the same care that you have become accustomed to.

Meet Dmitry Grebenev, M.D.

Dmitry Grebenev, MD is a physician in the field of adult endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. With over 38 years of experience, he specializes in complex diabetes management, thyroid disorders, male hypogonadism, osteoporosis and complex pituitary and adrenal disorders.

Most patients appreciate his understanding of their individual needs, the education he provides and his strategy to work as a team. With his direct approach, you are in good hands. He graduated from Moscow Medical Academy (1986) in Moscow, Russia. He completed his residency in Boston, MA and his fellowship at USF in Tampa, FL. He is fluent in Russian. He is accepting new patients and available for telehealth appointments.

Meet Melanie Scala, MSN, APRN

Melanie Scala is an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with a dedicated focus in endocrinology. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Rasmussen University, where she established a solid foundation in clinical care and patient management. Building on this foundation, Melanie earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Southern College, where she specialized in advanced practice nursing and developed a keen interest in endocrine health.

Board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Melanie brings a blend of clinical proficiency, compassionate care, and a commitment to lifelong learning to her practice. Her education reflects her dedication to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care. Melanie is passionate about improving the lives of individuals with endocrine conditions through personalized care plans and ongoing support. Her goal is to contribute to advancements in endocrine health and enhance the quality of life for her patients.
